{"id":51,"date":"2012-11-25T22:46:52","date_gmt":"2012-11-26T06:46:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/healingdragon.net\/wp\/?p=51"},"modified":"2021-02-25T05:52:06","modified_gmt":"2021-02-25T05:52:06","slug":"simple-home-treatments-to-help-depression","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/healingdragon.net\/wordpress\/index.php\/2012\/11\/25\/simple-home-treatments-to-help-depression\/","title":{"rendered":"Simple Home Treatments to Help Depression"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">DIET<\/span>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Eat nutrient-rich foods that will provide you energy and the building blocks to make the hormones and neurotransmitters you need.\u00a0 Processed foods are empty calories that create inflammation and increase toxicity.<\/li>\n<li>Drink enough water, which means half of your body weight in ounces of WATER (E.g. a 100 pound person would drink 50 ounces of water).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">DIGESTION<\/span>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create a \u201cmeal time\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Slow down when you eat and chew each bite 31 times before you swallow so you can taste and savor your food.<\/li>\n<li>Sit at the table, turn off the TV and listen to music.<\/li>\n<li>Create a calm environment that allows your body to receive the nourishment and take it in.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">HYDROTHERAPY<\/span>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Alternate hot and cold water in your shower.\u00a0 Do 3 minutes of hot water and 30 seconds to 1 minute of cool to cold water (but not so cold that you\u2019re freezing).\u00a0 You can alternate this as many times as you want during your shower.\u00a0 Just make sure to always end on cold.\u00a0 This is an easy hydrotherapy treatment that helps with elimination and gets your energy moving!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">BREATH<\/span>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pay attention to your breathing.\u00a0 Put your hand on your lower abdomen. Does your hand rise when you inhale? Are you expanding your abdomen slowly as you inhale and allowing air out as you exhale?
