Scheduling and Hours
Kimberly currently is in the office Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 9-2, and Fridays from 9-6. To schedule an appointment, please call 503-784-1027 or Email Dr. Hindman.
Location
Kimberly’s office is located in the Capital Plaza building at 9320 SW Barbur Blvd, Suite 165 in southwest Portland. The TriMet #12 bus stops at SW Barbur Blvd and SW Alice St, which is adjacent to the building parking lot. There is plenty of parking in front of the building and a bike rack in the parking lot.
Payment
Payment for services and supplements is due at the time of the visit. Kimberly currently accepts payment in cash, check, or credit card in the office, or Paypal. Student and senior discounts on services are available, as are payment plans.
Kimberly is currently not a preferred provider on any insurance plan. Kimberly has chosen not to join provider plans to devote greater time and energy to patient care. If you have insurance that covers out-of-network providers for naturopathic care and/or acupuncture, you will receive a receipt that has all the necessary information for you to send your claim for reimbursement.
Fees and Cancellations
New patient appointments for naturopathic treatment typically last 90 minutes and are $295. More complicated appointments that require longer time are $340.
New patient appointments for acupuncture treatment last 60 minutes and start at $275; costs may increase if there are additional treatments, such as moxa.
Follow-up appointments last 60 minutes and are usually $125 for acupuncture (again, depending on the number of points chosen or additional treatments) and $140 to $175 for naturopathic care depending on the complexity. A 20 percent discount is offered for students and senior patients. Sliding scale is available based on income and number of members of your household. Please ask Dr. Hindman about these discounts or qualifying for the sliding scale.
Phone calls greater than 10 minutes long or that involve a new health issue and/or changes to treatment plans will be charged according to the time and complexity of the call. Substantial amounts of time spent on a patient’s care (e.g., evaluating extensive labs, writing detailed referral letters) will be charged according to the time spent.
Fees do not include cost for any supplements or Chinese herbs.
Time with each patient is valuable. Because a missed appointment could have been made available to another patient, a cancellation fee of $45 will be charged if less than 24 hours notice is given.
